Visiting Us
Where is Vine Discount Pharmacy located?
We're at 1253 N Vine St, Suite 11, Los Angeles, CA 90038 — on the corner of Vine Street and Fountain Avenue in central Hollywood, just steps south of the Capitol Records building and the Hollywood Pantages Theatre.
What are your pharmacy hours?
We're open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We're closed on Saturdays and Sundays. If you need a refill over the weekend, request it online or leave us a message and we'll have it ready first thing Monday.
Is there a pharmacy near me in Hollywood?
Yes — Vine Discount Pharmacy is a full-service independent pharmacy in the heart of Hollywood, convenient to East Hollywood, Thai Town, Little Armenia, Los Feliz, Larchmont, Melrose, and West Hollywood. Most customers are in and out in about ten minutes.
Is there parking at the pharmacy?
Yes, parking is available and we're easy to reach by car or Metro. We're right on Vine Street at Fountain Avenue, a short walk from the Hollywood/Vine station.
Do you have Armenian- or Russian-speaking staff?
Yes. Our team speaks English, Armenian, and Russian, so you can go over your prescriptions and health questions in the language you're most comfortable with. It's part of why so many of our Hollywood and Little Armenia neighbors have made us their pharmacy.
Do I need an appointment?
No appointment is needed for prescriptions, walk-in vaccines, or a consultation with our pharmacist. Just stop by during business hours.
Prescriptions & Refills
How long does it take to fill a prescription?
Most prescriptions are ready in about 10 minutes. If a medication needs to be ordered or requires insurance authorization, we'll let you know right away and give you a realistic time frame.
How do I transfer my prescriptions to Vine Discount Pharmacy?
It takes about five minutes and you only have to do it once. Call us at (323) 957-9446 or stop by with your prescription bottles, and we'll contact your current pharmacy to move everything over — usually the same day. You don't need to call your old pharmacy yourself.
Can I refill a prescription online?
Yes. You can request refills online through our Good Neighbor Pharmacy refill form, linked from our Refills page. You can also call us or text your refill request and pick up when it's ready.
Do you carry both brand-name and generic medications?
Yes. We carry a wide formulary and will proactively check for FDA-approved generic equivalents that can lower your cost without changing how well the medication works. If we don't have something in stock, we can usually order it quickly.
Services
What vaccines do you offer?
We offer walk-in immunizations including flu, COVID-19, and a range of travel vaccines — no appointment needed. Ask our pharmacist which vaccines are recommended for you this season.
Do you offer travel health consultations?
Yes. If you're planning international travel, we can review your itinerary, recommend the right travel vaccines, and help you prepare — ideally a few weeks before you leave.
Do you sell diabetes and medical supplies?
Yes. As Vine Discount Pharmacy & Medical Supply, we carry blood glucose monitors, test strips, insulin supplies, durable medical equipment, wound care, compression stockings, mobility aids, and more.
Can I get naloxone (Narcan) without a prescription?
Yes. In California, naloxone is available without an individual prescription. Ask our pharmacist — we can provide it and show you how to use it.
Is a consultation with the pharmacist really free?
Always. We offer free, private medication consultations. Bring your questions about interactions, side effects, or how to take your medications, and our pharmacist will walk you through it.
GLP-1 & Weight Loss
Does Medicare cover Wegovy, Zepbound, or Foundayo for weight loss?
Starting July 1, 2026, Medicare's new GLP-1 Bridge program covers Foundayo (tablet), Wegovy (injection or tablet), and Zepbound (KwikPen only) for a flat $50/month — no matter your income — through December 31, 2027. You'll need to meet Medicare's eligibility requirements (Part D enrollment, BMI and health-condition criteria, and not already receiving a GLP-1 through your drug plan). Talk to your doctor about whether you qualify, and we're happy to help you understand the process once you have a prescription.
Is Saxenda included in the $50 Medicare GLP-1 Bridge program?
No — as of this program's current rules, only Foundayo, Wegovy, and Zepbound (KwikPen) are covered under the $50 Bridge. Saxenda, Ozempic, Mounjaro, Rybelsus, and compounded GLP-1 formulations are not included, though Saxenda may still be covered through your regular Part D or commercial insurance depending on your plan — ask us to check.
Do I need to have diabetes to qualify for the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge?
No — this program is specifically for weight reduction, and Medicare's own eligibility rules actually exclude people with type 2 diabetes, moderate-to-severe sleep apnea, or fatty liver disease (if you have one of those conditions, your Medicare drug plan may already cover a GLP-1 for you directly). Eligibility is generally based on BMI plus certain health conditions — your doctor can confirm whether you qualify.
Can you fill a new GLP-1 prescription for weight loss?
Yes. Once your doctor sends us a prescription for an FDA-approved GLP-1 medication, we can fill it and help you navigate insurance, including checking Medicare GLP-1 Bridge eligibility or manufacturer savings card options. Call us at (323) 957-9446 with questions before you come in.
Insurance & Payment
What insurance plans do you accept?
We accept most major insurance plans, including Medicare Part D and Medi-Cal. Because coverage varies by plan, the fastest way to confirm yours is to call us at (323) 957-9446 with your insurance card handy — we're happy to check.
Can you help with Medicare open enrollment?
Yes. Our pharmacist can help you understand how your medications are covered and answer questions during Medicare open enrollment. Stop by or call and we'll help you make sense of your options.
Still Have a Question?
Our pharmacist is happy to help — consultations are always free.
